The European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) has declared the best-rated cars of 2022 in provision of safety. Last year was the open vehicle assessment organisation’s most busy, like ever, year, as it tempted 66 new passenger cars. In a farther demonstration of Hyundai’s EV leadership, the company’s IONIQ 6 Electrified Streamliner was given the appreciation of ‘Best in Class’ in the ‘Big Family Car’ group.
Hofmann Andreas-Christoph, Vice President Marketing, Product and PR at Hyundai Motor Europe says “This newest Euro NCAP ‘Best in Class’ 2022 title for IONIQ 6 keep up from last year’s maximum five-star rating for safety, and attests that it is one of the most safe EVs on the European market,”. “Hyundai is committed to prepared all road riders with the most high level of safety, meanwhile at the same time presenting innovative mobility solvents to all of our customers. This latest tribute by Euro NCAP underlines our industry-leading post in the sector of future mobility.”
A reckoning is made of the lucrative sum of the scores in each of the four sectors of assessment, to assign the Euro NCAP ‘Best in Class’ which are : ‘Child Occupant Protection’, ‘Adult Occupant Protection’, ‘Safety Assist’ and ‘Vulnerable Road User Protection’. This sum is used by the association as the basis for ratios of the vehicles. Cars that qualify for ‘Best in Class’ based only on their own rating with standard safety instrument. Another extra rating based on optional instrument are not included.
IONIQ 6’s win in the ‘Big Family Car’ group followed on from their glorious Euro NCAP safety tempt last year. It was declared, in November 2022, that the newest car model of Hyundai’s all-electric IONIQ line-up brand was gifted with the maximum five-star rating.
